Many, many, many thanks to all of my Polyvore friends and family who sent wonderful messages, comforting comments and beautiful sets to me in the months since my father passed away. I apologize for not having had the time yet to respond to each one personally. I hope to do that soon. But please know that each thought, prayer and set was and is greatly appreciated!!

Many of you know that my father passed away 2 weeks ago. This holiday season has been a time of mixed emotions for me---sadness and grief over losing him, joy that he is in heaven with Jesus, concern about whether I will have to move, fear about having to re-enter the workforce full time at 52 and thankfulness for such wonderful, concerned, caring Polyvore friends.
 
Your loving messages, sets, thoughts and prayers have been a great source of comfort for me. Thank you all so very, very much. Wishing each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year!!!

Update 12/23/2010 Daddy passed peacefully on December 9 and is now celebrating his new life in heaven with our Lord Jesus. Thank you for all your kind wishes, thoughts and prayers. I am truly blessed to have so many loving friends surround me during my sorrow.
 
Update 12/8/2010 Daddy is still with us, but the doctors say he can't possibly hold on much longer. His body is simply too ravaged by diabetes, heart disease and other problems. He is past medical care, so we are just trying to keep him comfortable. Thank you all for your continued prayers and comfort. hugs, Sylvia
 
12/6/2010 I am asking for your prayers. My father (with whom I have lived and cared for the past 7 years) has been very ill the past several weeks. The doctors are not expecting him to live through the night. I know that Jesus is waiting with open arms for him, but somehow that is of little comfort to me right now. I would appreciate your prayers for Daddy to pass quickly and comfortably. Love and hugs, Sylvia
